This Creation study is the first study in Unit 1, Year 1 of the God is Love intergenerational Bible study series.

Unit 1 includes four studies focused on Storytelling: God’s Story, Our Story.

Storytelling Unit Proposition:
As the people of God, we are connected by God’s Story and our stories so that we can be storytellers of love in the world. 

This particular study, Creation, includes four sessions. The first three sessions have an education focus and the fourth session is a creative intergenerational worship experience focused on the theme of Creation.

Creation Study Proposition:
We can see God’s creativity through the Creator’s fashioning of an interconnected world so that we, as image bearers of the Artist, may participate in the work of co-artistry and creation care.

Session 1: An Artist at Work
God created the world and humanity as an artist forms something beautiful, by making the world and humanity interconnected, so that humanity can participate in the work of creation care.

Session 2: God the Artist
God is revealed in creation as a loving Artist by making humanity in God’s image so that we can under stand how our unique identities reflect God’s creativity.

Session 3: Humanity as Co-Artists
By calling us to work alongside God in the world, God calls humanity to the task of Co-Artistry, so that we may reflect God’s loving creativity as we care for all of creation.

Session 4: The Artistry of Worship
Our worship draws us into creation’s praise by commissioning us to the work of co-artistry so that we may answer God’s call to co-create with God.
