Teaching Clinics

Header Image

Teaching Clinics is a hybrid model that provides pastors, educators, and study leaders the opportunity to hone their teaching skills in a specific area as they engage theory and practice. Each Clinic will have an identified topic around which a cohort will form for the duration of the Clinic. Practitioners will come to a UPSem campus for a short-term intensive experience of encountering new theories, fresh approaches and emerging methods related to the focus of the Clinic. Following the on-campus session, each participant will put into practice what they learned during the intensive when they return to their context of ministry. These teaching sessions are to be recorded so that we can learn from one another. Asynchronous critical reflections on the experience will accompany synchronous coaching sessions with the cohort and the Clinic leader.

Proposed Clinic topics include

  • Teaching the Bible
  • Transformative Pedagogies
  • Embodied Teaching

If you have an idea for a Teaching Clinic topic, please share it in the Spark Conversations section of the website.

Teaching Clinics will begin in 2025. Please check back for more details.
