Holy Week Resources – Holy Week @ Home and Holy Week Rocks Intergenerational Event
Two options of downloadable Holy Week resources are available:
Printable Holy Week @ Home Daily Devotional Cards
Journey through Holy Week with your family, exploring the stories and symbols of Holy Week through these simple Holy Week @Home daily devotional cards. These cards invite households to engage more fully in Holy Week, reflecting together on events from the last week of Christ’s life, his death, and resurrection.
Each day’s devotion includes a scripture reading, a reflection, and a prayer, as well as an opportunity to decorate a rock with that day’s symbol that is then added to a purple path that leads to a cross.
Families will need a bag with the @Home cards (printable cards included in the digital download), 8 rocks, purple fabric, white and purple ribbon, paint pens, and a cross (crosses are available for purchase here). A full supply list with links is included in the digital download. You might also find ways to adapt the supplies to what you have already at home.
Holy Week Rocks Intergenerational Event
Invite all ages to more deeply enter into and reflect upon the events of Holy Week through this intergenerational event.
Perfect for a Palm Sunday event, eight stations guide participants to explore each day of Holy Week. At each station, participants read the scripture associated with the particular day of Holy Week, wonder together, and create story stones by drawing the day’s symbol on a rock. At the end of the event, each household will have a full set of eight story stones to use at home with the Holy Week @ Home cards.
When ordering the Holy Week Rocks event, all of the downloads that come with the Holy Week @Home cards are also included.
