Researchers George Gallup and Jim Castelli once noted ‘Americans revere the Bible—but, by and large, they don’t read it. And because they don’t read it, they have become a nation of biblical illiterates.’ In his sermon at the Union Presbyterian Seminary Center for Social Justice & Reconciliation Inaugural Event, Dr. Brian K. Blount emphasizes the importance of engaging with scripture on a deeper level.
