Creativity and Innovation Cohorts

Creativity and Innovation Cohorts convenes practitioners who want to develop new approaches to adaptive challenges in educational ministries Cohort may have a multiple people working on their own projects or a singular focus for the whole cohort. Collectively, the Cohort will be guided through a variety of practical theology research processes as they work through the adaptive challenge. These will include  

  • Identify an adaptive challenge in forming faith.  
  • Described the context, exegeted and articulate the challenge.
  • Developed a research design.
  • Engage in quantitative and qualitative research.  
  • Analyze research, identify themes, and trends
  • Propose a fresh approach to address the challenge.

The Cohort will serve as a community of learning that provides feedback and encouragement throughout the journey.

Models and approaches that emerge from these Creativity and Innovation Cohorts may lead to featured presentations in the Center’s biennial symposium, Collaborative Conversations webinars, and/or publications. Examples of the first CI Cohort can be seen in the Center’s inaugural symposium – More Than. There video presentations are available through the Curriculum Connection.

Creativity and Innovation Cohorts are by virtual participation through video conferencing with both synchronous and asynchronous modalities employed. Ordinarily, Cohorts will be convened once a year beginning in Fall 2025.
