About the series:
Picture the Bible’s KidLit is a children’s curriculum geared toward kindergarten to sixth grade that brings together the Bible, children’s literature, and art to foster meaningful conversations on faith and life. Each lesson includes a biblical narrative written for young readers, a thoughtfully paired children’s book, a meaningful and easy-to-prep art activity, guided questions that spark real conversation, and a closing prayer.

The lessons are flexible, meeting the needs of a range of learners. Background information and biblical insights are provided for teachers.

Each unit comes with:

  • A complete set of curriculum – each lesson includes background information and biblical insights for the leader, a summary of the Bible story, discussion questions, a featured children’s book that connects to the lesson’s Bible story or theme, a creative project, and a prayer.
  • Lesson resource pages – templates and resources needed for individual lessons
  • Unit overview – this overview of the lessons includes the themes, stories, children’s books, and materials needed in a helpful planning guide.

Note: This resource relies on the book Picture the Bible, published by The Pilgrim Press (www.thepilgrimpress.com). In addition, Picture the Bible art (beautiful collage art that enhance the lessons) can be purchased at www.picturethebible.com.
