Curriculum Connection

Vocabulary of Faith

Vocabulary of Faith is an adult educational curriculum that frees people to live their Reformed faith by remembering, reclaiming and rearticulating what we believe about who God is and who we are so the patterns of our lives embody the liberating love and grace of Jesus Christ. Each unit is six sessions and includes teacher-friendly lessons and a video. Unit 1 explores testimony: what do we know through Scripture, tradition and experience about God? Unit 1 covers various attributes and actions of God, inviting participants to not only intellectually assent to these theological and biblical concepts, but seek to live them in ways that demonstrate the liberating love and grace of Jesus Christ. Unit 2 focuses on the revelation of God in Jesus Christ. This unit explores both who Jesus is through Jesus’s attributes and actions, as well as our response as followers of Jesus Christ. Unit 1 and Unit 2 can be taught in sequence or as individual sessions.
